Human Resources Administrator


People Who Care provides a broad range of assistance and support services to seniors to allow them to be as independent as possible. People Who Care are a well-established charitable organisation providing practical support and welfare assistance to nearly three thousand financially disadvantaged West Australian’s.

Operating across the Metropolitan and South West area, our service delivery is supported by our extensive and broadly skilled volunteer base who are committed to providing excellence in enriching the lives of the elderly, younger disabled and disadvantaged members of the community.

Working within the People & Culture division under the People & Culture Manager, we are looking for an organised, experienced and enthusiastic Human Resources Administrator to join our busy team working full time.

As the Human Resources Administrator you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and reviewing recruitment templates and induction materials and resources.
  • Writing up job adverts in conjunction with the People & Culture Manager.
  • Providing staff with induction into People Who Care’s processes and practices.
  • Participating in shortlisting, interviewing, and referencing activities as directed.
  • Advising the People & Culture Manager on matters of employment of personnel.
  • Ensuring personnel entitlements including superannuation, and other contractual and legal obligations are met.
  • Meeting and greeting visitors to the People & Culture Department and direct to the appropriate area.
  • Monitoring visitor access and ensuring sign in/out records are maintained.
  • Coordinating of condiments, stationary and recording of mail internal and external.
  • Assisting Volunteer Services team with Volunteer Events.
  • In conjunction with the Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator, implement the national standards for volunteer involvement and review annually. 

To be considered for the Human Resources Administrator you will have the following:

  • Qualifications in Human Resources or significant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated skills and abilities in the recruitment, induction and support of personnel.
  • Good working knowledge of an awards based system.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A demonstrated ability to deliver and meet contracted outputs.
  • Sound knowledge of ethics and demonstrated capacity to apply these within a human service context.
  • A demonstrated understanding and appreciation of issues for the aged, carers, and people with disabilities.
  • An ability to work with Aboriginal and CALD employees.

Preference will be given to those with experience in a not for profit agency.
